Hey Guys, what gear would be good with this combo bored 351w & supercharger. Its a 5pd.

Why 3.55, what would be the differents with 3.73 and 4.11 with that combo.

3.55 not to much gear but enough... 4.11's...good luck with traction if you get on it...

4.10's are too much for a 5-speed, even WITH traction, and even on a stock engine. I'm just about at redline in 4th when I hit the traps, and I've only done a 15.0 @ 98 MPH with a crappy 2.2 60-foot.

I'd say 3.55's would be about right. Definitely don't go any higher than 3.73's.

Its not even close to redlining in the traps. I run 4.10s and a T5. I run 13.4 @101mph and I still have RPM left.

yeah i run 4:10's and a T-5 and my first time at the track i ran a 13.9 with RPM's left too. And my motor is bone stock.

i have 3.73's and i hate them. i want to "cruise" in my car, but when im on the highway going 65-70 im taching out at around 3 grand. i want that lower so im thinking about 3.55's or 3.27's

at 65-70 in the 86 were at a little over 2,000 rpm in 5th.

4.88s or 5.13s at least. You want to use all 5 gears in the 1/4.
