got a mach1 4V 281. the RPMs stick at 2k+. i can put a load on the motor by using the brakes and get them to drop under 2k then it'll idle just fine at 700rpm at a stop. shifting is a pain cause when i put the clutch in the rpms just hang at the shift point.

i changed out the TPS and cleaned out the IAC with carb cleaner. didn't help anything tho. i have a new IAC on order. any other ideas what it could be?

its not the IAC. all mustangs do it. get a nickle and drill a 11/32 hole in the middle and shove it in the IAC hose going into the plenum. it will stop the rpms from hanging. i did it on my car and my friends

This is the first i've ever heard of it. My car does not hang at 2K RPM's. When i press the clutch in, it drops to idle immediately all the time

ran the codes and got a P0122 "TPS a circuit low input". i erased the code start the car and rev to 2k or above and it hangs right at it. run the codes and it pops up again. I have a new TPS installed so i'm not sure wtf is going on with it.

Have you adjusted the TPS? I just replaced mine yesterday and noticed the r's hanging high. I had to turn the TPS as far counterclockwise as it would go for the right idle. Voltage readings were good...1.0vdc - 4.89vdc. Maybe the throttle blade or linkage is sticking. Also check EGR.

everything on the TB looks good opens and closes normal. thing i noticed today when i checked the volts there's only one wire with any current. there are 3 wires the bottom one is the only one that pulls a current. the one in the middle goes to 1 but that's it.
