Well last night I finally got those control arms in. I finished the uppers. I managed to find a bolt just like the one from the MM bushing tool at All American and it worked perfectly. Since my car has been up on jackstands for a while and it's been windy and rainy, I decided to take it down and keep driving it for now until I have a chance to work on it again. Next up is motor and trans mounts. Honestly, I'm a little scared of doing the motor mounts, but I guess I'll get around to it eventually.
The good news is that I got rid of some of the foul noises in my car! I had a metal to metal vibrating sound before, and now it's gone. It could be due to either the fact that my control arms aren't riding on the bolt anymore with blown bushings, or that the bolts on my x pipe are tighter now. With the new control arms, the rear even raised up noticeably. I think that should also get rid of my driveshaft rubbing issues, but I won't count on the car being done until I get the motor and trans mounts in. Then I can do without ebrake functionality and a leaky oil pan for a while until I have the time to work on the car again (or gather up the balls to do the motor mounts X_X).
Also I wanted to say thanks to everyone here for their input on which way to go with parts and installations. Otherwise, I would have gone crazy, first of all, with the differential bushings, and I would be riding on a set of control arms that suck. Thanks a lot!
