RFLMAO!!! Actually, when whwright first posted, we had to do a Google search to find out who he was. Funny thing is, another guy in the office stated that the name skywalker is associated with the **** industry somehow. Things that make you go, hmmmm???

I'm glad I could make you guys laugh.

The only thing to my knowledge that associates the name skywalker to the **** industry is that all the starwars geeks watch endless amount of **** (as do most Marinesbut for different reasons altogether.)

Hi All,

All the items up for auction on e-bay closed last night.

The entire 03 interior went for $1,076. It looks like someone got a pretty good deal.

Someone bought the 65 rear bumper for $1.25 and after the auction declined the purchase because the bumper was sand blasted ready for paint or re-chroming. All of that was stated in the text, but I guess they did not read it until after the auction was over.

Other items of interest were....

The 03 doors went for about $65 each.

The used clutch, PP, FW and input shaft went for $90.

The Cobra oil cooler went for $125.

The Cobra front control arms and coil springs went for $165.

The Cobra mirrors went for $130.

The Cobra tail lights went for $115.

All in all I generated about $3,700 for the project. This will allow us to hire a full time helper to get this project moving over the next 3 weeks.

And, we still have a bunch of stuff to auction off.

We should get a LOT accomplished next week. Wish us luck.

You can thank me for that one. I wanted the control arms, but let it go when the price went higher than a new set. The 2003 Cobra control arms allow for a 10% increase in turning radius for 94-2004 Mustangs, and have an upgraded ball joint. Would've been a nice upgrade, but glad you got the $$$$.

Um, not to be pushy but I do believe it's time for an update pic. I just noticed my left eye ball starting to twitch and a small patch of foam forming on the corner of my mouth, (generaly that's a good indicator)

Hi All,

Let the blocking begin.

After a day of blocking, this is what we have accomplished. Both quarters. Sides and top.

WoHoo!!!

Now on to the roof and trunk.

Here is a photo of the collision center from the outside (for anyone who is a bit curious).

Also, here are some photos of the battery cable run. We are pretty much set except for the final location of the battery box. We just need to find a location that will clear the gas tank and any existing wiring. Sounds like a snap, but I am sure that this will give us a bit of hartburn before it is all over.

Also, when we ran the chassis grounds, we tied a couple of seperate of items together and grounded them with one terminal. I hope this dosen't end up biting me in the butt. A ground is a ground is a ground.

I forget, are you putting in a rear seat delete? And, it looks as though your leaving the rear air extractors in and not going with the Shelby windows, correct?

Hi 1320,

Yes we are going to do the rear seat delete and we are using the side air extractors. Personally, I think the extractors are one of the finest features of the early fastbacks. I would never consider removing them from the car.

Well, having not owned or driven a fastback, the jury is still out on my opinion. Now having driven vehicles that have a huge blind spot, I think I'd be in favor of the windows from a safety standpoint. As far as what the extractors contribute to the overall look of a Mustang fastback, I can take them or leave them. Now a '67-'68 Shelby fastback, I like those extractors.

Hi 1320,

The "blind spot" on the 65-66, is not bad. 67-68, 69-70, are much worst and 71-73 are just awfull.

I drive a 65 fastback on a somewhat regular basis and have never had a problem with the blind spot. In fact, the toughest thing to get used to when driving this car is the tiny wing mirrors. Once you get used to that, looking over your right shoulder to check for a clear lane is a snap.

My uncle had a '72 Mustang fastback before I was old enough to drive and just looking backwards in that car was a pain in the butt.
