Hi All,

Well, the actual bodywork starts in ernest.

Here we have trial fit the rear quarter and the fender flair. Things are just kind of sitting there right now. I have to remove the panels, prep the area, punch all the plug weld holes, drill and screw the entire structure together just as it will be when welded in place. Remove the opposit side quarter and repeat the procedure. Then I can follow the same procedure for the rear panels. Once I have all of that EXACTLY where I want it, we can start welding things in place.

Sound like fun???

Wish you were here (to lend a hand)

Yes, an update would be great. I am eager to see more. I cannot say whether or not I like the idea or the after of this project. It goes without saying the effort and time put into it is outstanding. I am amazed at the fabrication.

From all of us in the arm-pitt of Kansas solute you SN65

I just found this thread...I may cry. Wow! This is sick (as in the "f**ing cool" variety). SN95, your bro is absolutely right--you're outtayourfreakin'mind to try this. But man, I just gotta respect that kind of crazy.

By the way, does anybody have those photoshop'd fender & wheel images from our Rasta friend? His site seems to be gone. Bob, ya there?

MrBobMarley,

For some reason I'm unable to see them. Or rather, I see ssr1.jpg and noflares.jpg, but none of the others. When I try to go directly to the picture link (http://home.comcast.net/~abibula1/flare03.jpg, etc.), I'm getting an error. Not irie, it Pappy-show, mon... !

Jah love,

Hot Rod

I was thumbing through my new issue of hot rod yesterday and I saw a picture I recognized. When i realized where it was from it was like seeing a picture of my car in a mag. I have been followig your project for a couple of weeks and I think the car is going to be sick! I feel like I know you and this is my first post. Keep us updated.

P.S. I showed the pic to my dad and he said " is that possible". I said "I hope so".

Hi All,

Sorry I havn't posted any updates lately, but things have been a bit rushed over the past week or so.

Work has been placing demands on my time. :-(

On top of that, my brother was in an accedent last week. Some idiot (driving when he was talking on his cell phone) pulled out in front of him (Wayne was doing about 50MPH at the time). Wayne went to the emergency room and the fool walked away. Wayne is OK, but he is going to be a bit sore for the next few weeks.

Anyway.... I digress.

Even at that we have a little work to report.

We have all the panels fit and ready to weld on the rear of the car. Also, we have found that we will not be able to just graft the 03 flairs to the quarter and have it look the way we want. We are going to have to copy the 03 design and modify it to mate properly to the 65 body.

I will be posting more in the upcoming days.

Catch you all later.
