Administrative The Time Has Come... Goodbye Tapatalk

I was wondering why I couldn't browse anything on Tapatalk anymore lately. That's what I regularly use for browsing forums although it seems like each update was starting to make it more annoying and inconsistent. I found myself using the actual site anytime I uploaded pictures anyway so now it will just be my sole method for browsing. The mobile site is pretty good...I was just used to using Tapatalk over the years. Losing Tapatalk won't stop me from participating and I'm glad you're looking out for us. :nice:

The "internet" as we have known it since the 1990s is being re-structured into an intrusive, data-collecting Gestapo. Major changes began to be rolled out last August and will continue over the next two-three years. Enjoy what is left while you can.

It's not quite as doom and gloom as all of that. Most people do it to themselves by not taking the time to look at application permissions and user agreements. Even if you're not someone who reads user agreements, a quick search in many cases, will turn up results about an application's or website's, "manners".

There is lots of information out there about locking down personal accounts and being stingy with information.

It does cut into Angry Birds time. :(

There's not as much call for ninja computer monitoring when people are freely giving away personal info on the interwebz.

Whatever you did also made it so my iPhone's browser works with the site again. Before, iPhone and chrome was also mess, as was Silk on my K Fire tablets. I'll let you (the admins) know if they work again later.

The SN mobile site works rather well.

I've tried the mobile site of a few other forums, and it's not as easy to navigate, which may be why their traffic is down.

Of course FB groups might have something to do with that as well

Tragic. I pretty much use TT for everything although I always used Photobucket for pics and upgraded to VIP years ago so I never saw the advertisements. Very interesting on the content and security issues though.

Regardless of the reason, I'm glad to see less Tapatalk. I've always hated the spammy default signature it puts on peoples' posts because no one turns it off or changes the content.

Posted from my non-mobile device using software that doesn't suck like Crapatalk.
