Second gear finally ate it up and is no more, 1st gear is about to and it spills fluid trying to prevent it from popping out of first upon take off. I can smell it burning something and it's not the clutch. The shifter KILLS my hand . That **** sometimes hurts when it tries to pop out of gear hard.
So I got a used tranny from a '98 with 113K miles on it for $425 plus they also added a $75 core hmmm. A bit pricey but the place is reputable and I inspected the trans. I haven't felt the shifter on a trans move so cleanly and lock into gears as good as that one does. I will be installing it next week. Bought a new clutch kit (Just a Perfection clutch) . Don't need anything High performance.. Not for DD. And also got a new trans mount while I was at it.
Can't wait to get this crap in and be able to drive my own car like normal again for a change.
