Wow! You're angry. Dude, IMO life's just too freaking short to go around picking others apart but 'thanks' for the input. Oh, BTW, Cajuns don't pronounce the 'th' sound so that's pronounced 'tanks.'![]()

ur teh failI'm not angry. Actually, I'm in a pretty good mood lately. And I don't think objecting to the "who dat" stupidity is "picking others apart". It just sounds like friggin' baby talk, and it's sad to hear so many grown adults touting that as a "cool" thing.
But if baby-talk/pseudo-Cajun-talk is the cool thing this week, then ... have fun with that. Er, sorry, I meant ... "haff fun wit dat". I gon' go 'way now cuz I godda go poddy in da toy-wett now, 'kay?![]()

I have to agree to some extent.. it is a "baby talk" sounding accent. Nothing made my stomach turn more then hearing an old blue hair from Metry with her accent.
BTW, there is a big difference in accents throughout south La. Yatters are pretty limited to the areas around the lake and south parishes (orleans, plaquemines, jefferson, st behnahd)
also, Adam Sandlers "cajun" accent is about as far from true as you can get. Don't even listen to that idiot

Nuh-uhhhh!
Actually, the first people that usually come to mind when I hear about Cajuns are the "You like to see homos naked?" guy on "Joe Dirt", and Wilford Brimley playing Van Damme's uncle in "Hard Target".
I guess Cajun accents are supposed to be "sexy", but if that "who dat" baby-talk is part of their lingo, then I'll probably never understand the reasoning. Ask Lynn about the Cajun dude on the first season of True Blood...![]()

Like Kraw said "Who Dat" is more of a Nawlins dialect than Cajun. New Orleanians sound more like northeasterners than Cajuns anyway. But there must be something intriguing about it since Bengal fans copied it with "Who Dey"
As far as accents I can't stand the northeastern "New Yoak" accent probably as much as they can't stand my southern "New Awlins'" one.
