...and I'm half tempted to go for it. Their asking price is $9795; it has 97K miles on it...it's Dark Shadow Gray; probably needs to have the striping redone (definitely on the hood); 5 speed; interior's in good shape...I dunno.

My thing is that I already have a 2003 GT so there really isn't much difference between the two cars (I plan on keeping my GT). 45 more horsepower and nicer seats in the Mach...but that's about it.

ummm, 4 valves are a lot more powerful than any 2 valves, and its not "just 45 more hp", theres more to in when you have a 4 valve. hands down. I say go for it though, the motors are solid.

If you have real mileage (under 50k), then keep your GT. 100k on a Ford is crossing over into taxi territory.

for $10k, i'd just build the GT up. i'd take a 500+hp GT over a stock 100k miles Mach 1.

Regarding the mileage...that doesn't bother me much. My GT has the same amount on it...97K. And still runs like it did on day 1.

After further consideration, and looking at the ol' bank account, I'm not gonna do it. Just wouldn't make sense right now. I kinda thought I was in "better" shape but given some upcoming bills, it's just not smart.
