What degree thermostat does a 99 v6 come with and where is it?What would be a better upgraded one?

I think stock thermostats are around 192 196ish?? If you want a cooler runningn one go to a 180* that is good enough.

192 is stock. Personally, I wouldn't mod the stock thermo until the real modding starts. Then, I'd only go to 180, then after an S/C T/C and H/C/I, maybe 160.

Mustangs were made to operate at certain temperatures. I'd only do this if you know for a fact that the car is running hot.
