Just bought a 1994 XJ Sport for 3,200 with 111,000 on it. Paint is in better condition then my stang not one paint chip or fading, no rust, very clean interior and the engine looks brand new. I just need to get new spark plugs and belt.

Awesome man, post some pics when you get the chance.

The belt and plugs are very easy to change.

Sweet Jeeps. However i saw you mentioned 20+mpg... My old exgf drove a 97 Heep Cherokee with the 4Litre, that thing got 15mpg at best. However, it was a beast in the snow, i loved it.

I got 340 miles to a tank with mine and still had a gallon or two left, thats over 20mpg...

But thats a rare occasion with how I drive, lol.

BurningRubber, what do think is the best tune up stuff to do?

1. Plugs
2. Belt
3. Oil change/new oil filter
4. fuel filter
5. Drop in K&N air filter

Anything else?

I built a jeep renix motor from the ground up with my dad, modified maf, compcams agressive cam, ported / polished heads with a 2 way valve job, ported throttle body, cold air intake, custom made exhaust, etc. Threw it in an 88, 5 speed. It was slow as **** and had a ton of problems, and there was no way in f*** to tune it correctly. The gas mileage was also horrendous. I will never go near another one of those things. Best of luck to you, but I don't recommend modding them at all; coming from a person who did every mod short of forced induction / nitrous, it's not worth it at all, my 98' gt stock would murder that thing. Oh, and one more tip: don't try to install an aftermarket stereo in them with anything short of a shrinking ray and / or having a disease where you somehow have child's hands.
