I found this calculator on www.mustangworks.com, and it said that from my best ET being 14.484 @ 96.2mph, I have 229 horsepower at the wheels. I'm ot too sure if this is right, considering all I had at the time was Off Road x-pipe, and a MAC Catback. I was think I had around 210 at the wheels. But hey, if it's right, Im happy. Someone should go on, knowing their horsepower numbers and see if its accurate.

Is this thing making RWHP calcs? OR Flywheel HP???? IF Flyhweel, I say its damn close...

I punched in the best ET my car has ever ran to date, which was a 13.11 @ 102.74 and I used car weight with me as 2975 LBs [saying my car is 2700 LBs, where I think it was 2800 then with iron heads etc] and said I had 261 peak HP and 251 average HP.

Back then when I ran the 13.11, I had bone stock motor with just bolt ons. 65mm TB, bored stock MAF & a K&N cone, Mac equal length headers, stock H pipe, Dyno Max 2 1/2" cat back, underdrive pulleys, timing bumped to 15*, smog bypassed, underdrive power steering pulley, FRPP alum DS, 3.73s, slicks...

Just looked around on there and didnt see anything about it being RWHP...

Also, if you ran 14.48@ 96.2 MPH and the calculator said you had 229 HP, I would venture a guess its not only accurate but that its flyhweel HP, and here's why.

I have a Car and Driver here from 1989 where they did a test of cars that were under 10 grand and it had the LX hatch in there... and they got it to run 0-60 in 6.2, 14.6 @ 95 MPH in the 1/4 and voila... HP rating is 225 and 300 ft lbs TQ in the mag.

Hmmmmm....my best 1/8th was [email protected] and it gives me a quarter of [email protected].

The time seems slow while the mph is high. Considering there's no account for 60ft time, I don't know how it could figure out an accurate speed when you consider the difference between a car that runs street radials to D/R's or slicks.

What was your 60ft?

I got a 9.05 1/8 time at 78.95 mph with a 2.08 60ft on street tires...with "old setup" of MAF, TB, 373's, full exhaust, electric fan and pullies at 3400 race weight...

I'm guessing you had some traction problems and therefore that "calculator" accounts for that (by the time) but showing you got the power (by your mph)...

Actually, my 60ft was good. It was 2.05 with the aformentioned time, at almost an 85mph trap speed. With traction my car should run very low 13's, possibly cracking the 12's in the 1/4 at that trap speed, not 13.96 like the calculator suggests.

With PNP heads/intake, 1.7rr, pulleys, CAI, full exhaust, 3.55's and a few other odds and end, I figure my car's making about 285-290hp to the flywheel.
