I went out today and the idle did something weird. Just kinda stumbled then went up a little high then came down to normal. Think its the IAC but I need some pictures on where to find this thing under the hood. Maybe Ill give it a little cleaning sometime tommorrow. Hopefully this will work. Thanks for any help.

The IAC is a cylinder located right in front of the throttle body (under the pony's belly)
It is easy to change. You may try cleaning it , but I doubt if that will fix the problem. You can get a new one from NAPA, or contribute to the dealer's "yacht sail fund" like I did (yes, I used to be an idiot). This is a part that goes bad on a lot of Stang's. Good luck.

Yep, right on the side of the throttle body. Hard to miss once you know what it looks like... just took mine off and cleaned it (temp fix) for the first time a couple days ago.

I found this article helpful... has pics so you can see just what you are looking for.

It is 49.99 at Auto Zone...As stated many times over, cleaning it is just a temporary fix.

Mine went bad I cleaned it with some throttle body cleaner, although it may be a temp fix it at least identifies the problem, another possibility if the tps or the maf. Mine works fine but its only been a few days since I cleaned it, if it goes bad again I'll just replace it. Keep in mind if you buy the part and it doesnt fix your problem auto zone wont let you replace it(I also sprayed some tb cleaner into my throttle body since the guy at the part store recommended this).

actually it is on the side of the upper intake plenum but who cares unless he dosen't know anything then he will get it confused with the tps because it is on the side of the throttle body

Cleaning doesn't always work...example: last weekend when I sprayed the ***** out of mine and the car still would not idle...swapped a new one and wallah, smooth idle.
