He said that all of these other "supercars" had staggered diameter and also different size front and rear wheel height. He said the Mustang was not designed for staggered wheel height. I am still not sold on what this guy is telling me.

See... that is exactly what I thought! He said the the total diameter of the Vette is one inch smaller exactly than the rear. This means they have the exact same sidewall height which keeps handling characteristics similar between front and rear.
