Fbody guy here w/ a 95 Z28 w/ a LS1 swap w/ some mods but growing up in the 80's the Fox's were my favorite car by far and I always wanted to own one... anyway my mother has recently decided that she wants to sell her 1992 4 cyc. Vert Fox Body.....I could probably get the car for free, so it got me thinking lol. What would you guys suggest as far as engine and tranny choices go,also what else is a must to change in the swap besides susp. ...I will be a on a pretty tight budget....btw this is the car now

Plenty of options for drivetrains, but since you already have an lsx....

Suspension, rear axle, brakes, exhaust, trans and engine as well as supporting hardware are what need to be changed.

Buying a parts car will be easiest route to take to get what you need.....otherwise tracking down every little bolt, nut, bracket, etc will cause you to pull your hair out.

5L5 is right, a complete and running parts car is what you need.

I'd also only get involved in this project if the 4cyl car is in mint condition.
