Im looking into buying a new oil pump and pan for my 87 gt. The car has i 130,000 miles on it and the oil pressure is pretty low. I am consiudering getting a high volume/high pressure pump. I know i cant run that pump on my stock pan because it will suck it dry. Heres the pump and pan i was looking at getting. These are summit racing parts numbers, i couldnt get hyper links. Pump 1 SLP-224-41128 this one is a high volume pump that goes for about 30 bux. MIL-18800 This is the other one i was looking at it is a high pressure/high volume. That goes for about 70 bux. The only thing that worries me is i have 130,000 miles on my motor and i dont know how all the seals are going to like me putting mroe pressure on them. MOR-20509 this is the pan i was looking at. Its a deep sump 7 quart pan. The depth is only 7.5 inches. Where as the stock is 7.25. So i really dont have to worry about ground clearance as much. What do you guys think about this setup? Im still very unsure about putting higher pressure in my engine. I definately do want higher volume tho. What do you think?

not 100% sure on the pump and pan, but they look fine to me. I have 120k on my motor, and my seals are fine. I dont know what ur mods are, but why dont u just go with a stock replacement pan and a new stock pump? Its sure to be better than a pump that has 130k on it and a pan that is all gunked up in the bottom from over the years u know? Just my .02
