Hey guys...I think our cars look cleaner with no tips, so I was thinking about running turndowns. It's already rather loud with the Mac Headers, Bassani O/R X, and the Bassani aftercat. How much louder will it get with the turndowns? Am I correct in thinking no one makes a side exit exhaust that works in conjunction with full length subs? I'm also considering a rear seat delete...hope it doesn't get too loud.

it will be a lot louder than what you have now. also your going to smell the fumes in your car. my friend had turndowns, and got them changed back asap

I'm actually thinking of doing the same thing. My pipes were damaged after some POS rear ended me about a year ago and the body shop tried there best to straighten them out but the tips still look funky to me.

What I did was just take the tips off the car and that left the tubes running over the axle and ending there. It's not as loud as turndowns and I dont get any gases coming into the interior...other than my own.

I wouldnt be so much concerned about the noise. When I had my setup dumped the noise wasnt the problem it was the tone. Dumps make for a distorted muddy tone that I didnt like.

Also, yes, Spintech does make side exhaust that works with full length subframe connectors.

Talk about drone...youll really learn the true meaning running dumps...I did it twice...i just cant handle the drone, i lasted about an hour both times, plus the sound is muddy as mentioned....i had Spintechs on it and it only sounded decent when you really stood on it...
Better not have a dirt driveway running dumps.... She turns into a street sweeper...

LOL ok thanks guys...I think ya'll talked me out of it. I was actually going to just take the tips off my bassanis and put little turndown tips on the mufflet itself...but if it's as bad as you guys say I'll leave it the way it is now...thanks for the help.

its waaay louder inside.

very deep, the pitch of your specific catback will leave and it will sound like every other fox body.

I had mine like that for a few weeks, spintechs dumped and flowmasters. I had to crank the radio to distortion levels to even hear it on teh interstate.... 45, i usually have it on 30-35.

if you have a headache, its a ******.

it sounds deep and mean and if you can live with it then sure.

the spintech side exit is badass though and i highly suggest it.

Any idea on how much the spintech side exhaust costs? My rockers need repainting and I could just buy the SVO ones instead and paint them if I do the spintech side exits...

Edit: Nevermind, found their website...looks like 450..seems reasonable.

Nothing sounds more mean than a mac pro-chamber and mac pro dumps. Loud at idle and under 1800 rpm ,drones alot when the motor lags but at 60mph they are fine to me with a t-5 & 3.73's

Please, whatever you do, dont get dumps, they are not what they are made out to be. I have them on my stock 95 GT and im saving money to get tailpipes put on it, lol. Its is way too loud on the inside of the car and all it does is shake stuff, my e-brake button rattles like no other, i almost cant stand it . But i guess what loud and annoying is depends on who you are. . My recomendation is not to get them.

Made my quiet borlas scream at WOT still fairly quiet at idle and also interior noise is very different (louder). The fumes dont worry about it hasnt bothered me at all. It did on my IROC-Z i used to have but not on my cobra. I say if you want it louder insuide and outside the car then go for it.

I just hate messin' with my tails. The Mac chrome tails all but fit nice. and the chrome.... don't get me started.

I'm thinking of having extended turndowns made. Like bend them out towards the side but not go past the rear axle. Should help on the street sweeper problem and scare the ricers with the exhaust pointed right at them.
