I think the T-trim is overkill for your car. The SI-trim is more than capable of making 450rwhp, and is much quieter, and usually a couple hundred cheaper.
I have the SI on my car and love the little blower. It is a sleeper and hard to here at idle.
I just want some room to grow for the future. Thats why I choose the V1 T-Trim and the new V-3 self contained I worry about leaking like the prochargers.
Also factor in the cost for the tune, and fuel upgrades, etc etc...
How much room are you looking at growing? 600-800rwhp with a forged block?
Sorry, I don't want to be a freaking debbie downer but there are two things I would do different. I would start off with it intercooled, and I would not look down the stroker route.
1)
You are going to limit yourself w/o the intercooler. The T trim could be a great idea for a big build down the road but you will be limited to sub 8-9psi until you intercool it- which defeats the purpose of the t-trim. It is easier in my mind to do all the tubing and setup the first time. I would look into a number of options for intercooling and custom setups. Or talk w/ tank here on the forums, if you want a big build... have you thought about going turbo?

Everything I've read about stroking our 4.6's has been marginal at best. Yes you will have a little more displacement but from what I have heard the gains are marginal. Especially if you are running a t-trim- the power is in adding more psi. Now forging the rods and pistons is a great idea, obviously, but I would keep near stock displacement because the additional displacement doesn't yield much from what I have seen.
If you plan to upgrade your block and want more boost, go with the Paxton Novi 2000. Plenty of room to upgrade without having to change head units.
42lb injectors should be fine.
The T-Trim and the novi 2000 are the same size, hence why I picked the T trim. I wanted to do a novi, but I can't find anyone that has a kit for my year, 2000. All places say 2001 and up or 98 and down. Don't know why but that is why i changed to the vortech.

The V3 vortech is rated up to 22psi (not the most efficient the higher up you go in psi). A V3 with proper supporting mods can be good for 450-500rwhp w/ ~14psi. The 42# injectors, 255 pump, an intercooler, and the heads you described you should have the supporting mods for a good 500 rwhp. What is your hp goal?
Yeah, it depends on what your goals are. Novi's flow better at the higher boost levels. From what I've read the Ysi is better of a comparison with the Novi.

I know Paxton and Vortech are basically the same company. I found that out when I was first looking at the Vortech and Paxton units.
I speek from some experience here because I have owned both a vortech and now a KB.
With a proper tune and a good flowing intake a kb 2.1 will support just under 500 at the wheels at 14psi. You could also buy a inlet from a guy who goes by turbocooker on modular fords that will get you very close if not just over 600 rwhp. Do a quick search on modular fords and you will see what I am talking about.
I can tell you from experience and dyno sheet that a KB 2.1 does NOT drop off at 5000 rpms. I shift my car right at 6 and it pulls hard all the way. I can and have shifted my car at 6300 and the car still pulls the whole way, my rev limiter is set at 6500 btw. If you live close to sacramento I would be more then happy to give you a ride and let you see for yourself. Yes a vortech will usually make more hp in the upper rpm range.
As far as going with a vortech I would go with a SI trim over a T trim anyday. You will not see the bennifits of a T trim unless its a HD T trim. Having an HD T trim will allow you to spin the impeller to the max. A regular T trim however is limited to the same impeller rpm as a SI trim because the bearings are actually the same. Yes the T trim will make a little more hp when you spin it to the max but its not that big of a difference. The SI trim will actually make more average HP and TQ then a T trim due to the different impeller designes. Keep in mind that you dont have to run a V3 self lubricating SI trim.
I have personally seen multiple 550+ rwhp cars running S and SI trim vortech blowers. If your goal is over 6 get a HD T trim and dont look back.
You can get away with running a custom FMIC if you know how to work things so to speak. Getting pulled over and sent to the reff can be delt with by simply removing the FMIC and running the car non intercooled and swaping the pulley. Infact you can actually get a good deal on a CX racing intercooler on eay with piping. There are plenty of people running these intercoolers making great power. There is actually a very good writeup on modular fords on how to install one.
