Thinking of buying a car...any advice??

I'm thinking of picking up a 1990 Mustang Convertible 7-up version. The interior is immaculate but needs the normal stuff like valve cover gaskets. Another thing I noticed is that after the car gets warm the oil pressure gauge dips between the first and second ticks. Any symptoms on that?? Also, the temp gauge has no reading at all. It has 113,000 on it and the passenger door has been it but sort of repaired...doesn't look all that bad. He wants 3500 bucks...what do you guys think?
