heya all, i have been thinking of changing the theme of my car. Thinking of doing a vintage WWII Mustang Warplane theme. here is a quick photoshop of my idea. I would also put a large US Army warplane star on the hood. .let me know what you think.

Black stripes, chrome wheels and the imperative silver color - You definately have the right colors on the car to pull it off... I'm kinda digging the idea. Your quarter window scoops are reminiscent of the belly scoops on the plane and the "nose" art is definately the right touch.

Definately not for everyone, but I'd be curious to see how it will turn out. Now, if you could just incorporate the yellow and red checkered pattern on the front...

After the curiosity the original post sparked, Google returned this:

Roush just sold a P-51 themed mustang at barret jackson yesterday. It had 510 hp and 500 foot pounds, it was nice.

It could defintatly work well. But, the pin-up girl feels too tacky..
I would almost go for an air-brushed P-51 scene accross the entire hood.. /shrug...

vehicle theme's that extend outside the boundries of cars arn't really to my liking..

the airbrushed hood would make a good show-peice though!

I don't care for it at all. Also, remember resale value if you ever decide you want something else. Not everyone will want it.
