Thinking of chipping my car

I recently did an over haul on a 4 cyl and put in a Chp 331 with tfs stage1 cam, twisted wedge heads, typhoon intake, 70mm throttle body, equal legnth eaders, 76mm c&l, 1.6 scorpion rockers, and so on everything except a supercharger. how much benefit does a chip give you. i have an 8ld computer doesn't it config everything ok. i have friends that say a chip is a waste of money and they are the biggest stang guys around in my area but then i read that a chip is worth the money. jsut curious if it is worth the $500 bucks to get my car chiped and dyno tuned.

A "chip" isn't worth a crap. A custom tune burned to a programmable chip will make all the difference in the world. Check around in your area to see who can dyno tune and burn you a good program. Prices seem to vary widely.
