I currently have a Black '99 GT w/medium graphite (light gray) leather interior and I'm looking to go w/a 2-tone Katzkin leather interior for my Pony. I want to change the seat colors around to match the 2-tone dash...primarily charcoal w/light gray leather perforated inserts. I also want red stitching and embroiled tri-bar pony logos on the seat.
I got a ballpark price of $1,000 to $1,200 from a shop in Brooklyn who's been around over 20 yrs. BUT that's the only place I've been to.
A) Does anyone know of a very good shop in the NY area?
B) Is $1,200 a high or fair price?
I think I'm going to call Gabe's, Bill Dunn, & Ish @ West Coast customs to 're what they would all charge? I at least know their work would be excellent as seen on the Velocity Channel.
I wonder if Will Castro still has his shop on Long Island...don't see his show Unique Whips on cable anymore.
