A 67 coupe popped up on my feed and I’m thing of checking it out.

posted details.
1967 Ford Mustang · Coupe · Driven 99,999 miles
All the hard work is done, need the money for a wedding. Ready to be a decent driver immediately or to be fun project to finish out to a show car.
Originally a 289 car, but I was told the engine is a 289 HIPO engine from another car. I have not verified, but it does have a stock 4 barrel intake.
Starts easy, runs, drives and stops
The completed work
New Fenders
New Quarters
New Carpet
Rebuilt Double Pumper
New power steering pump
New gas tank
New sending unit
Replaced floor pans
New Carpet
Seats Reupholstered
New dash pad cover
Front window Cranks
Quarter Window Cranks
Door Cranks
Door Handles
New rear bumper
Wheels refurbished
Tires with 95% tread
Back window reinstalled and sealed
Work to be done for show ready
Finish body work
Needs glove box
Needs cd player
Needs AC
Needs headliner
Clean up floor pan install (previous owner riveted them in)

The big concern I has is the body work was done in a garage not by a pro. They primed it with etch primer from a spray can then used those turbo cans to paint it flat black. At some point i'd want to paint it proper and it would need completely stripped .

The price is good though. They are only asking $8300, and I currently have $14K set back for a mustang so this could work. What's the groups opinions on it?

I would get a real body man to come take a look at it with me.
If it is square and true, then I would buy it, assuming no hidden/unseen damage.

Based on the videos and the description. I'd say it needs a new drivers door, maybe a hood. Then the entire body needs stripped , body worked and painted. Inside needs a dash kit, door cards , radio. Inside the trunk will need the bedliner removed and everything primed and sealed properly. Then under the hood needs whatever i decide. as long as the underside is clean and not hiding major rust it does not seem like a bad start for a resto

Stuff like this seems to be really hot right now with insane pricing.... I have been looking for a " Project " C2 corvette to install a modern frame under it.... I am coming to the conclusion that they are priced out of my pay scale.....

The aftermarket frame I am looking at uses C4 Corvette suspension, so I did drag home a " donor " car.....

I don't want to get kicked off the site... LOL... The site "Karen" will come for me.....
I want to install a C2 corvette body on a custom aftermarket frame that uses 84-87 C4 suspension and drivetrain...
The powdercoated frame sells for 8K, or with all the suspension and rear IRS installed for 15K..... I purchased the car in the pic for $1200 ( with engine and transmission) and I believe I can sell parts I don't need off of it for close to the amount I paid for it....
Hard part is finding an affordable " project" C2 corvette.... Insane pricing........
As soon as it starts to cool down here in Florida, I want to strip the parts car....
