On street rod applications the support bearing is mounted through the frame rail, or mounted to a mount welded to the frame. I'm not sure what brand of u-joints or support bearing you're using, but Borgeson lists a maximum angle for their u-joints, check with your supplier and see if they can supply you with that info.
