Go get the DTC read at an autozone, they do it for free. You should then be able to figure out if it's just the downstream O2s or something else. Just get it off quick... limp mode is no fun on gas mileage!

Its to trick your rear 02 sensors into thinking the cats are still there when you put on an O/R midpipe. Since you have no cats it throws off your sensor so thats why you buy the mils or a tuner to turn them off.

If SES Light came on and you didnt just put on an O/R midpipe on you need to get your car checked out.

I think he is asking whether or not the light will come on if there is another problem with the car.

Like this: I install an o/r pipe and mils and then get a misfire... will the Service engine light still come on? or not?

It is my understanding that the light will still function like stock with the Mil's... but I don't have an o/r pipe yet?

I recently did a mid pipe swap (X-pipe w/ cats) and now I continue to get sensor 2 bank 2 throwing an alarm. I replaced the sensor but it is still happening, thoughts?

Could be that the cats are free flowing enough to still throw a code, but Im not really sure.

Yes, it will. Like I said, all it does is "trick" the sensors into thinking the cats are there. If there is something else wrong with the car the light will still come on.
