Well all I know is I'm #$@^@%& Pizzed. Everytime I hit the gas I have paint coming in through my windows hitting me in the face. It sucks. The guy said that becasue I don't have a 12 point cage the car isn't rigid enough to hold the paint under flex.

OK .. you :owned: us all ..... this can't be for real!!

Thats total bull****, Aaron'S'tang, paint doesnt just come off under acceleration, the car was either seriously preped wrong,or the paint wasnt mixed/sprayed right.

Go to someone else thats reputable, and have them write you a a signed form that its not supposed to do that.

Hire Johnny Cochran and sue his arse. People that stupid should be removed from the gene pool. "it has too much torque" that might fly with a person that knows nothing of torque, but for a car enthusiast, not even....you have got to be kidding me:nonono:

My buddy is a painter/body man. The best in town. His daddy is a painter/body man. The best guys in town.

He had a 92 GT with a 400-500 horse motor and buckled where the quarter windows meet the body

I never saw a SINGLE FLAKE of paint come off that car

Cochran is toast but otherwise that might be a good idea.

Start taking alot of pictures, they will help in court, Before & After and also alot of the damage, take good and clear pictures that you can use to your benefit.

Also, if possible, maybe a little strange, but if you have anything that can record these guys. Keep something in your pocket and go to talk to them one more time and get all this on a tape recorder or a similar device. That would be very good proof in the court room and you can just play it back. Otherwise they will deny ever saying any of that outrageous stuff to you.

Don't be afraid to get your hands dirty and start taking actions, also don't be afraid to get involved in legal matters. They messed up big time and are pushing on you and hoping that you just go away and spend more money elsewhere. Go after them and don't waste time.

If you do anything, do it now. Start the ball rolling, because if you hesitate it gives the court cause to think that the car might have been abused...rocks, door dings or things of that nature. Just file a claim or whatever you need to do. But talk to the local authorities.

It stinks because I've been daily driving it for like 2 weeks and I drive like 44mile one way to work. If I don't get another DD soon I'm affraid I'll be driving around in a shiny, bare metal Mustang. I don't even want to go to lunch because I'll have to cross railroad tracks and then speed aaway from them, a double wammy.

Did you take pictures of your car before you drove it away from there place? Either way on your way home from work today stop at your friendly neighborhood police station. But if it is flaking away as you say it is, it would be kind of obvious that it is not chipping.

Also if you go to court, bring another paint specialist from another company and tell him and ask him to testify that it is not supposed to do that and that something was wrong during the painting process. I am not paint expert, but it sounds like it wasn't prepped properly.

I'm no legal expert but I think they have to know they're being recorded to be admissable in court...

I just thought of something my dad was gonna do but never did...

Contact the MEDIA!!! :nice:

HAHAHA Oh yes... Our Local Channel 6 news does this kinda crap all the time.

Customer has a complaint.. they call Channel 6 and they do a story on it.. even interviewing the company... 9 times out of 10 the company realizes they are in over their heads and offers to fix the situation...

Channel 6 even has adertisments about this... stuff like "Have a problem? Call Channel 6 for help!" its hilarious... but 100% effective at the same time.. maybe even more so than a lawyer...

This would be a very serious option IMO and a cheaper one than a lawyer to boot...

however, i have a hard time believing this story and as of right now I believe that you are full of 100% bullsh1t... no offense. I just need some proof to believe something that completely bizzare.

Asron: Sounds like bad prep work. Isnt hard to prove. Take it too a couple of other shops, get quotes noting the fact that they could get the paint to stay. Call the Better Buisness Bureau and call local lawyers to see what they would charge to draw up a letter. All bases covered. Even if the Lawyer costs a couple of hundred, it still is cheaper than a new paint job. I agree with FlavaDave: a letter from a lawyer will probably do enough. They know that court fees alone will cost them more than the time spent to repaint. Had a buddy with a shop that had a customer do the same thing. In his defense it was one of his new painters who screwed up. Needless to say (even though he offered to repaint) he paid for the car to be painted at another shop.
Do have to say that if they did it right. You have one bada$$ stang. Definitely the first guy I know that can go fast enough (or have enough torque) to remove paint from the front end
