well, yet another update.

I'm about 100% sure my coil was having issues...but I'm sure there was something else at work there.

It was raining today, and the car did the same thing...I was able to get the car running this time by flooring it. I also noticed that this time I was getting good spark.

So, this didn't make sense. I was getting spark, getting fuel.....and then the third thing, AIR....

My air intake is in the fender right in front of my tire. Well, some jackass high school kid that lives right by me thought it would be funny to remove my wheel well...which equals a soggy air filter and all kinds of water on the maf sensor. This was confirmed by the extremely rich readings from my a/f meter..then the computer would try and fix it and then I'd be running way to lean. Not a very nice drive home either.

needless to say I'm gonna go and have a niceee lil word with this kid ...who's only about 2 years younger than me.

just a bit of an update in case anyone ever has their car cut off on them in the rain.....this could be ur problem

Cool, I'll add that to my list:

Possible cause #6241: HS kid next door removed wheel liner.
Remedy: Wash HS kid's urine out of air-filter element.

Seriously, good luck with it. Glad to hear you found a very likely cause!
