When ever i turn the steering wheel at all the car makes a REALY loud squeeking noise from somewhere on the front suspension, i cant figure out where its comming from but its extremely loud and embarasing. I changed the power steering fluid and put in that Lucas power steering stuff in (it says its supposed to fix any squeeking) and it did nothing for me at all. Also when im driving it sqeeks alot too, i can hear every single tinny bump in the road and its driving me crazy.

Does anyone else have this problem? and if so how do i fix this?

thanx

Well I'm cheap... and my $.02 says to drive the car ontoa set of ramps and from next to teh car (not under) have someone turn the wheel and you listen to locate where it is coming from...

BUT if I had $.98 more in my pocket my dollar would go on balljoints as well...

my car is doing the same thing.. When I launch hard or am racing and it shifts into second I hear it and it feels like it's launching me again.. It kinda sucks because I know I'm losing traction due to ****ty weight transfer.

IMO the squeak is from ...in this order

1. Loose caliper sleeves(does squeak stop when you go over same bump with brakes depressed)

2. Tie rods and/or bushings

3. Bad p/s pump or loose belt if its a squeal more than a squeak

4. Ball joints. people don't realize how durable they.

Ok i jacked the car up and had my friend turn the steering wheel and its hard to tell because its so loud, but it looks like its comming from these piston looking things with rubber sleeves over them, and there sealed off... i guess those are tie-rod ends?

If they are, where can i buy new ones?

And can i just get balljoins at a local autoparts store? or do i have to order them?

If you mean inside the rack's bellows, the inner tie rods are in there, along with the rack's gears (resonance can play games with noise location).

Good luck.
