"3.8L_of_Pain" suggested me buying a Diablo Predator. As it is pretty expensive, do I need it that bad? And if I do, is it straight forward, or do I "need to take a class" to use it?

It is a very good product, as many others will agree. It also gets you out of the rut of mailing chips back-and-forth when the tuning contains mistakes (I was in this rut twice on my previous V-6). People are also buying them for less than $350, which is little more than a mail order chip.

It is very easy to program. Most parameters can be left at default values and you can change only a few (like gear ratios). As you get more experience, you can tune other parameters. It also reads OBD II codes and provides data logging.

Great, I'll scratch the Timing Adjuster off the list then.

Regarding the Diablo Predator. When I buy it, I know I have to provide what current mods I have on to the seller. Do I have to send it back every time I add a mod and have it recoded or? It sounds like I can just add those on the fly and the seller is just helping me out the first time, is that correct?

Sorry to repeat the questions, but I still have a few unanswered such as:

1) "Madmatt" mentioned I should remember to get the Prochamber for the stock manifolds. I found a "MAC ProChamber 99-04 2V/4V Mustang" (see image above) on partshopper's website. Is this the right model?

2) With the list above in mind, can you advise me to which I should install first based on difficulty and whether or not it makes sense in relation to the dependency on other mods. Also, which mods I would need to go to a garage to have them fine tune - if any?

with the Predator Programmer do you need a diablo chip or do you just flash the stock computer chip?

and on the website it says you need to use premium fuel, but thats only if you mess with timing isnt it? or do you need premium fuel 100% of the time, and how much horse do you usualy add if you mess with the timing on a N/A car

edit: and if you can do it on a stock chip wouldnt it be a good idea to just borrow someones if you just want to make adjustmens for the gears, no speed limiter, and some other small things that dont matter if you get other mods

The diablo predator you do not have to get a custom tune for it. You can use their base tune or up the timing, fuel, etc if you wish.

If you install the performance tune you MUST use premium fuel.

You can just use it for gear changes, eliminate rear 02's, turn traction control off, etc without installing the performance tune and in that case regular is ok. But you might as well use the tune since you have it.

I Just installed mine not 5 minutes ago and its super simple to do. Tells you exactly what to do. Just turn the key on but dont start it and plug it in and do what it tells you to.

Also you cannot borrow someones to change anything. It has to save your stock tune and will not work on a diff vehicle until the stock tune has been reset in the original vehicle.

IMO the diablo is a great deal because you have to spend $50 for MIL's + $150 for T/A + $75 or whatever for the DM gear recalibrator thing + $75 if you want the traction control one. That and all the other cool stuff you cna do.
