I recented got new C/C plates in for my Eibach Sport Spring lowered GT. They aligned the car charged me ridiculously and put the new C/C plates in. After this i noticed the car was making a bumping sound everytime it went over a bump and it was coming from the left strut. I took it back and they said they couldnt find nething and they think it's internal. It really annoyed me so i bought a new strut j/ to hold me till i buy quality struts/shocks all the way around. This weekend i installed the new strut and it still makes the sound! After a friend and i looked at it carefully with our limited tools and our limited knowledge in mechanics we found out it was the spacers used on the strut that were boucing up and down and bumping into each other which made that sound. The rubber isolater keeps slipping out and causes the spacers to move freely.
amnit: How do u become a certified mechanic if ur IQ is 45? I'm j/ lettin off some steam but does neone know an easy way for me to make this spacers more quiet or not hit at all? Thanx.
