I have a question that has been bugging me all day, check it out

1. On my 10 pounder i have a high flow valve which has 2 fittings on the bottle side of the valve.. One fitting has a gauge to show the bottle pressure but the other just has a 6an male end. I am running a nitrous gauge on my a pillar also. Is it more important to monitor bottle while im heating it (with a pillar gauge) or system pressure after i open the bottle valve. My thinking is since that fitting goes directly to the bottle how the hell am i going hook it up to the line going to my gauge without leaking n20 everywhere which isnt a smart idea. I could cap it off while its being filled but there will be no way to hook the line up to it without blowing nitrous everywhere.

Any ideas?

What?

Im guessing that you got a gauge fitting on the bottle nut,and it has an open end going to the main feed line.

Get a cap and put it on the -06AN,heat the bottle and watch the gauge,then close the bottle,slowly undo the fitting and hook it up,then open the bottle.

But be more clear next time.

I would need a pic,usually theres a thread for the pressure relife (blow down tube) and the bottle nut (goes to main feed line).The other part is in the bottle and I dont think you would have any nitrous in your bottle with ou a valve.
 
yes, 2 ports. The guy before me had a gauge on one to measure bottle pressure and a 6an male sticking out of the other. Since both ports are directly connected to the bottle I have to put a cap or plug up the 6an if i ever plan on filling the bottle because it will just leak out the hole. I just put a plug in it and called it a night. On the nozzle where the main feed line attaches there is a 1/8th plug on the side, i just hooked up the line going to my a pillar pressure gauge off that instead so when the bottle valve is closed it wont leak.

BTW, I had another quick q. I have a braided line going all the way from my bottle to my a pillar gauge and my main feed line going all the way to my engine. Thats a lot of line to fill imo. When I open my bottle is that bad to have that much n20 in the lines? I tried searching on google for info but found nothing.

Don't really understand your question, but on my bottle I have 3 ports. The first one is the main feed line to the solenoid, the second port is the pressure gauge and the last one is for the safety blow down tube which has a burst disk.

About the nitrous in the lines, it not bad, what I like to do is after a run I turn off the bottle and purge the system. After you do a nitrous run, you want to empty the main line(purge) so the pressure won't damage the solenoid.

No its not "bad" but I personaly dont like having nitrous near your face,as in the pillar gauge.We mount our gauge on the cowl panel and just have a short line runing from a T between the main feed and our Y fitting.Also,doing it that way you got one less fitting to mess with when filling the bottle.
