I've got a 93 LX coupe and want to clean up all that wiring that is not plugged in to anything behind my dash and under the carpet. I dont really care about the wiring in the engine bay. The reason for this is that all the loose wiring with there plugs are slapping around back behind my center console and making such a racket! Will this be hard or even worth it? Thanks in advance.

I would not do it. Instead, use some zip ties and secure them so they don't make noise. I

I build a factory five cobra last year and used the Mustang wire harness. My partner did not like all of the extra wire so he wanted to cut it off. I did not want to do this but he insisted. Well, the fuel pump no longer worked nor did the alternator plus a few other things. Leave it alone.

Well if it isnt too difficult I plan to get rid of them. I was gonna chase them all the way thru my car so there wouldnt be a danger of something not working. Just tired of all those extra wires back there. If theyre not plugged in to anything they cant be doing any thing. The thing i'm most concerned with is when they all meld together in the wiring harness i will have to split it open to get the ones i want out. How hard can it be?

Oh and i tried the zip tie thing and it helped a little but still having noises.

Ive got an 84 hatch that was a v6efi now v8 carb'd and ive got a lot of unused wires behind the dash and in the engine bay. Ive got a short somewhere draining the battery. More than half of them dont do anything so I was thinking of just ripping them all out besides the lights. Sounds tuff, couldnt figure out how to get the whole dash out neither
