Thottle Positioning Sensor

why whould you want to do that?? A TPS is a throttle position sensor. It measures the throttle blade position and sends a voltage signal back to the ECU which uses the information for other sensors.

MY thoughts exactly.

It's pretty easy to put one in, but I don't see any point unless you are planning some sort of an EFI conversion or doing some sort of computerized datalogging.

Sorry for the slow response. I want a tps for my LM-1 datalogger.

Ahh.. that makes sence.

Try searching around at www.msefi.com Also do some google search for "carburetor convert to throttle body". Lots of guys out there gut their carbs and use them as a 4bbl throttle body for efi systems...they then need to fit a TPS sensor.

I'm not looking to go efi I would just like to know if I can fit a tps to my carbed engine without any major modifications.

I know, but those sites are full of information about people wanting to add a tps for efi. It's the same thing as what you are trying to do.
