OK this is what I'm thinking so far for my '04 GT. Magnaflows w/ MRT catted H, Magnapacks w/ Prochamber or any other good suggestions. I've already had American Thunder Flows w/ Prochamber 0n my '95 GT.

Bassani X w/cats & Catback, if you've got the $$$. Great sound with baffles out, and pretty quiet with baffles in (for road trips)... until you jump on it.

I went to an exhaust shop this morn to get my magnaflow system and the guy told me that the piping I have in the 02 is mandrel bent and if it was his he wouldn't take it out. I went in with the idea of getting a custom catback. He didn't have a mandrel bender (very few shops do) and said that what he would put on it wouldn't be as good as whats already on it. He told me to put the x pipe in and the magnaflow muffler, but leave the pipping. Needles to say I didn't get anything done today

If you leave the stock cat back exhaust you will choke the x-pipe I installed the slp x-pipe in my stang and had to keep my stock cat back in because my slp cat back is on back order and the pipes are noticably smaller Just order the entire catback.

If you are going with catalytic converters stay away from Bassani. Not only do you have to spend TONS of money to get the bassani name, you have to buy MIL emliminators too. My bassani x with cats was on 3 months until the MIL lamp came on...check the reviews here too, you will find tons with bad reviews on bassani x pipe with cats. Also TERRIBLE fitment, bottoms out like crazy! For the money you have to pay the Bassani x pipe with cats, it really is a piece of garbage!

Bassani has nothing to do with you needing MIL eliminators. These are not stock cats. They are hi-flo cats. Most pipes with hi-flo cats will give you the check engine light - Maybe not for a good while but most will. The parameters are setup very tight and the car wants those 6 cats on there for emissions purposes. That said, The bassani cats have had problems with going bad altogether.

I should have been more clear...my cat was burnt out. It was not just hi flow and set off my CEL, it was burnt out. I called bassani for warranty, because they have their GREAT 1,000,000 MILE warranty, but they do not warranty their catalytic converters, pretty shady condsidering the money you throw down for a bassani X. I'm just trying to let this guy know so he doesnt have to waste his money like i did.

No prob. I was just clarifying because you did say that it was because you need MIL eliminators. Now that you've said the cats burned out I will agree. They are known for that. They are also known for bad customer service also.
