I purchased the ARP intake stud kit to use when I install my RPM II manifold. I also purchased Permatex thread sealer to use on them. My question is, with the studs there are 2 separate threaded sections. Do I apply the sealer to both sections? Only the top? The bottom?

I was also going to apply the sealer to all the studs. Yes/no?

TIA

Thread sealer generally only needs used on the threads that go into holes that are open to a fluid (coolant or oil). Do not use it on blind holes or the manifold ends. The rest of the threads need either lube or anti seize. I like anti seize or at least a good grease in any part I might want to come apart again.
Someone else can post confirmation on which, if any, of the intake bolts are not blind (dead end and dry) holes.

Ok...understood. But what about my question about the studs and 2 sets of threads. Apply to both threaded sections?

Sealant only needed on threads that go into block , not on top.hope this sets you straight.

Only the ends that go into water or oil need sealed!!! Not the top ends for the manifold! Those are supposed to be dry, through the manifold holes that are not threaded. There is nothing the top end of those studs need sealed from, and it might throw off your torque specs during assembly.
I answered that with details above. I hope it is clear now.
