anyone know the thread size of the crank pulley bolt holes ? my puller doesnt seem to have that size for the 3 bolt holes.

also I would like to chase the lower manifold bolt holes, anyone know which tap I should use ?

I believe the crank damper pulling holes are the same size as the transmission engine bolts. M10x1.50.

Why not compare the intake manifold bolts to the tap? When I do that an M6x1.00 is a perfect fit.

Harmonic Balancer Puller Bolts

If your 96 harmonic balancer is the same as my 01, the correct bolts size you need to pull it with is M8 1.25 X 80MM. I Check out several puller kits, none of them had the right bolts until if got the OEM kit from Auto Zone for $ 16.95. They told me I could return it when I done with it.

wow, m10x1.50, the crank pulleys from both motors I have must be different than yours. the holes are actually closer to one of the intake manni bolts, however if I try threading one in it goes a few threads and then gets real tight, when I take it back out I can see it started to change the threads,I think thats the size but the pitch is different prolly finer. As far as the manni bolts I like your idea of using a dye to let me know which tap to use.

thanks much.
