I am having a throttle issue right now. I was having a problem with a low/rough idle so a buddy and I took the throttl body off and cleaned it out with some carb cleaner and put the throttle body back together and started the car...well the low/rough idle was solved with a high idle (about 1500 rpm).
We changed the idle air control and we get a 1100 rpm idle until the car warms up a little then shoots back up to 1600 rpm. I push the gas pedal a bit to see if will reset the throttle backdown but itjumped up to about 4000rpm and stayed there (stuck)!!!!! Any suggestions????? :damnit:

Try reseting the idle by disconecting to neg(-) batt for 15-20 min then restart it and see what you get.

The carb cleaner might have sucked out any lube that was in the TB's pivots. I had that happen once. A quick spray with time delay viscosity (thin when sprayed, slowly turning thick) lube cured it. WD-40 might help temporarily.

Also, theres supposed to be a special coating on the TB to seal off and keep the RPMs down. Its possible the 1100 rpm idle is because of that being eaten off by the carb cleaner. Just a guess. Hopefully its just because it was sticking.

I'm wondering if your mass air meter is taking a poop. Try cleaning it
http://www.muscularmustangs.com/maf.php
I doubt it but it's good to clean it, it just sound like your TB is sticking.

Well I R2'd the IAC and got the throttle backed down to 1500 RPM (My original problem), I'm thinking now that it's the postion sensor but I don't know the specs of what the voltage is suppose to be. Any Ideas?

TP sensor is controlled by the computer we (as in 94/95 5.0) can't adjust it manually only by chip or hand tuner.

I'll sell ya a stock one off my old 95, just gotta put the (what is it?) IAC on it plus the other part. Whatever those two black things are that have electric connections.

$20+ shipping and its yours. Came off a 95 w/96K miles. I never had a problem w/it.

I don't think I need the whole throttle body But thanksfor the offer anyway. I think the probalem lies with the throttle postion sensor (one of the black things the the electrical connectors, the other is the Idle Air Control)

I would either buy a new tp sensor or if you have a buddy with one try his to see if that cures your problem.

No they way the foxes adjust them is by moving the tps right of left utli the volmeter read .95-1.0. We don't have the oval holes too allow us to do so, it has also been attmepted to drill out the holes so we could. But again once you start your car the computer takes over and readjust it the only way is by chip or hand tuner.

Very good point take some of that carb cleaner and while the car is running spary around the TB and if the idle increases you have a leak.

That is one of the first things we did and there wasn't any leaks. I'm going to go and try the dico of the plug and the batt. cross your fingers

I have the exact same problem with my car as well with the high idle.........the car still drives fine, but it's really annoying! When I pulled the codes on my car, I got a 121 (TPS voltage higher than expected). So I think the tps is bad. Try pulling your codes and see what comes up.......since we have the EXACT same symptoms, maybe we can solve this gremlin together. Keep me posted

Was your Idle slow to come back down if and when it did after pushing the gas? I don't have any means of pulling my codes nor do I have the equipment to do it.
