Still think BBK is the only one out there. I put one on mine, it's a nice piece. Spoke with Accufab last year and they were working on one for the earlier model Cobra's. You might want to call him.

For the mods you have though, I would save my money and use it for sub-frame connectors.. you might see 5ph with a larger throttle body on a stock engine. Subs will make you hook up much better for drastically improved 60foot times.... and safe your car from cracks and rattles...

I already have bought my suspension stuff, just waiting for it to arrive. Thats why I figured I'd go ahead and get a throttle body. Is there anything else I could do to get more Hp out of my engine??

Perhaps a chip, or start saving for the boost

If you are wanting all around performance and not just 1/4 mile... don't forget the STB, and the rear shock towerbrace is easy to install and looks nice back there

Yeah, ditch that BBK CAI for a good one and get a tune. Do not waste your money on a throttle body. The tune will make a positive difference.

At the most a CAI is going to 3hp so I figured anything is better than the stock peice and it looks great so I got it. Unless any of yall have a dyno sheet proving another CAI is better. And what is a STB?? And a Rear Shock Tower Brace?? what do they do?? Thanks guys.

There's one on a Mach 1.

http://www.jlttruecoldair.com/Dyno Page.htm

On a 1998 Cobra. It showed average torque gains of 20rwtq across the entire power band, not just peak numbers.

http://www.wmsracing.com/wmsweb/wmsgifs/03cobradyno.jpg

There's a 2003 Cobra showing 22rwp on a Mustang dyno with the WMS kit.

STB is a Shock Tower Brace... a brace for the shock towers. Provides extra support for the shock towers.

That BBK CAI is chrome. When it heats up from engine temps, it's going to be pulling in cold air from the fenderwell and immediately heating the air back up to above ambient temps. Go do a couple WOT runs and put your hand on it.

doogz,

how do you feel about the densencharger models? I got the 80 or 85mm pro-m and the tube that goes into the fenderwell with K&N filter. My STB prevents the other tube to the TB but I was told that is really not a big deal.

I've heard the densecharger is a very good CAI, performing just as well as the other non-metal CAI's. No one has done a CAI "shoot-out", testing JLT vs WMS vs Densecharger. You really have to go off of what you think works the best. In theory, the JLT should make the most power with the stock MAF because the shape of the tube and the lack of bends. It's one big piece and i'd really like to try it out.
