Throttle Linkage Problem

I have a 73 351 Cleveland that I put an Edelbrock Performer intake on. Put an Edelbrock Performer 1406 carb on the intake. I have the Edelbrock 1483 throttle lever kit on the carb. The throttle cable and kick down rod are binding. I found another Edelbrock part that says it's for a 351M, nothing so far for a 351C. Help! I'm sure this question has been asked before, I'm new here and could use some direction. Thanks.

you might try installing a spacer between the carb and intake. depending on how bad the bind is, a 1/2" spacer should do the trick.

you may have to bend the rods to get good alignment

Thanks guys. I have tried everything I know to do and still couldn't make it work. Going to try this. I think it should work.
