Throttle problem

I have a 98 GT that is having a weird issue. When I push on the accel it acts as if the cable is stuck on something for a little but then it frees up fine. You have to give it a little pressure to get it to break free and the all is well. It runs and accelerates fine other than that. It does it when moving and in neutral.

I am thinking the cable is sticking somewhere but any ideas or happened to any of you.

Could the carpet or floormat be interfering with the accelerator pedal's travel?

run some TB/carb cleaner through the throttle body. My accufab has been sticking... it pisses me off, because you can't drive it smoothly. I notice you have an aftermarket TB (BBK) as well. The cleaner helps but sometimes after a few weeks it starts sticking again..

yeah check the carpet/floormats, also might wanna think about spraying a lil wd40 on cable and TB pivot points. Might also have the nasty carbon build up causing the blade on the tb to stick at some point in travel.
