I recently switched my throttle body and ever since, my throttle plate has been sticking open. I have played with it by hand and it's not the plate that's doing the deed, it seems to be the pedal/cable somewhere. It only stays open when I press the pedal down.

It doesn't stick a lot, just a light touch to the throttle plate on the TB and it kicks back down where it should and releases the gas pedal to "idle" position. But obviously I can't drive it like that and need to fix it!

The reason I say it's not the TB plate or TB itself is because when I run the car and then rev it by moving the plate with my hands, it closes like it should. If I then go hit the gas, it sticks.

When I removed my stocker, I took the cable bracket off, attached it to the new throttle body, then put the throttle cable back onto the bracket where it belongs. Plugged in all my sensors and stuff, put everything back where it should be. Now it is sticking somewhere.

I didn't move the cable except bend it out of the way a little, and I have no idea where it got kinked. I traced it back to the firewall and everything is curved in a way as to not leave any kinks.

Anyone know?

The car is a 92 5.0, AOD.
