Ive been dealing with trying to find a noise that happens when my car is cold. Its almost like a metallic grind/squeal. I notice that it will go away when I put my foot on the clutch.

Is that a throwout bearing noise?

Can a throwout bearing noise quiet down when the car warms up?

Is there any way to fix it besides replacing it?

It is. I had that problem. Mine was when it got warm though...and it wasn't all the time. It was only when it wanted to squeak. You can try to squirt some lube on it through the inspection cover on the side of the bell. DO NOT GET GREASE ON THE CLUTCH DISC!!!!

Or you can pull the transmission and replace it.
