I need input on thumper heads.
How did you guys like dealing with him.
How well does this head work.
What kind of numbers did you guys make to the wheels.
How long did they take to get them.
Any info would be great, and I know I have seen this before but can't find it and the search is not working. (Thanks in advance)

I have them.
I liked dealing with him. Always answers emails and is very helpful picking out what is right for your motor.
These heads work great.
I have not dynoed my car since the install.
They made a huge difference for my car, but then, I had the crappy E6 heads. I could make more power but I have flat topped pistons and cannot get a camshaft. I paid him via paypal, and received them a week later from Florida to Minnesota.

Like TriGun said, great to deal with him, always answers e-mails and questions and doesn't make any false promices. When I ordered a set, he told me in advance it would be about two weeks for me to get them and a week and a half later I got them. When I put them I sent my old heads back but I had managed to break a valve and the day he recieved the heads he refunded the core charge.

The heads are really good, no loss down low but they pull to the rev limiter. I ran 8.4 at 82mph 1.9 60ft down the 1/8th mile on a rough track. It's been a while since I ran because I have since then done a new suspension and tranny. I don't have any dyno numbers yet, everytime I plan on going there something comes up. Then again, I am not a bench racer, I just know if I won or lost a race, that's all that matters to me.

Some who have never delt with thumper will come on here and say these heads are junk, and maby they are, but notice that all us Thumper customers are happy with these heads. What does that tell you?

I've never personally delt with him but I could imagine him as being a good person to deal with. He's a smar guy. If I remember correctly I heard gains of like 25hp. He has a site with his flow #s and whatnot.

Numbers in sig were on a Mustang brand dyno... car has Thumper heads, Tmoss lower and 1.7 RR's on a stock 90K mile shortblock with the stock TB, upper and cam. Both Thumper and Tmoss are great guys to deal with and the results seem pretty good. A cam and intake swap should really open up the head's potential.

I WILL be using Thumper Heads for my truck (E7s) and car (GT40s). Junk is something that doesnt go on my vehicles, so even though I dont own them yet, I know its what I want. All the people that dog on them are haters, and dont belong posting in this thread anyhow. :p

I justs got my gt40 heads done by him in July.

1. 110% happy in dealing with him.
2. they look great, going on the block tonight.
3. see above, have a dyno day with a local site on Sep. 26th so I will know then.
4. took about a week and a half to two weeks from shipment to thumper date until getting them back.

if you want to view some pics of his work here is my cardomian site that has pics on page 5.

I think I mite go with a custom cam. I already have a gt40 intake and big throttle body.I really want to know if you can make like 270 to the wheels with these heads. I know i will probably need other stuff to.

270RWHP+ easy with the other supporting components.

I got thumper heads. My car made 238rwhp. Everyone says its low but every dyno I've had done the tech says those numbers are right on. All I have are the heads, ported and polished upper and lower intake, 70mm TB and EGR, 73mm MAF, shorty headers, Bassani X-pipe w/ cats, and Cat back exhaust. Everything else is stock on the engine with full emissions. Those numbers are ofcourse without the nitrous.

I was also really happy with the turn out, besides the nitrous its the only other mod where I could actually feel a difference. He's also a good guy to buy from. I would give him an A.

Cool

Hay 90mustanggt what kind of numbers does your car make I'm kinda going to do the same setup.

Thanks, I like my combo, I think it is well matched. I wish I knew what it put down. I'm afraid that then I will find myself obsessed with increasing the numbers instead of actually making it faster. I am too poor right now to get a test done anyways. A buddy of mine (GaBoy90LX on corral) has a similar setup to mine but I have longtubes and he has shorties, I have 70mm TB and he's got a 65MM, I've got the B cam and he's got the TFS Stage 1, I've got thumper's he's got AFR 165's. We have raced many times and we are even. From a stop I kill him because of traction, but from a slow roll I pull him about half a car then he catches back up around 65mph or so and then were even to about 100mph. His car does inch ahead of mine but when we go to change gears I inch back. I run with a some modded F-body guys and one thing is sure, I don't get left behind. They are all running high 12's to 13's flat at 105+mph minimum all motor, I haven't run the 1/4th yet myself but they have to spray to get ahead of me on the 1/8th. The 1/4th mile track is so far away.

I want to get mine dynotuned at a place called Dynolab in Marietta. Then I can throw down some numbers. I may have to de-mod my car soon because I have to pass emmisions and my contacts have gotten real nervous, I guess they are cracking down on people clean piping. (where you run one car on the machine after scanning another car's vin) I'm goint to leave it de-modded so I can get another test after my b-day so I am covered for 2 years and while that stuff is off, I'll probally change a thing or two, like a custom cam instead of a B cam and port the Edelbrock Performer intake and smooth out the BBK LT's at the flange. I might even send the heads back to thumper for the GT40 valvetrain upgrade for a few extra ponies even though I might loose a few lbs of tq. I get alot of piston ring blowbye, burning alot of oil, if I can I will rebuild the bottom end with some higher compression pistons. So many plans, such little funds. Then I'll throw it on the dyno.

...just kept typing and typing, sorry so long.

Killer... thanks guys.. I have put a few of ya'lls responces together.. hope ya'll dont mind!! ( "ya'll Is a southern term for "Yous guys" LOL) Have fun!!

Just me...........................
wanted to tell you a buddy of mine bought a used set of your heads and put them on his stock bottom end car with a cobra intake and ecam and the basic bolt ons He busted off a 12.24 @ 112 mph on a 100 shot of nitrous he had a 1.81 60 ft Pretty good huh!! Cool HUH!!
__________

I run the ported E7's also and love them. It was a lot cheaper than buying expensive aluminum heads. My best ET before the heads, cam, and intake was a 13.6 at 108. Now day's it has so far been as fast as 12.24 at 113 and there is still more in it to go once I drive it harder at the strip. Still getting used to launching the new combo at the strip. Oh yeah that was with STOCK headers cause my Mac's were cracked in three places and had to junk them. _________________

The first pass of the day was a 12.58 @ 108 mph, the car seemed to boog a little out of the hole. The second and last pass was a 12.45 @ 108.4 on a 1.73 60 ft!! the heads and cam were unreal!! I droped almost a full second from before with the head change!! We are going out tonite and see what we can scare up....
_____________

The car is my full weight (nothing removed except the front sway bar) daily driver with the a/c still on it. With no changes other than a set of 26x8 MT ET Drags, the car went 11.65 @ 115.8mph on the 175 shot (any other 60' time from the night would have given me an 11.5x) and 11.87 @ 115.8mph on the 150 shot. .
Overall, I'm pretty happy with 11s in my daily driven bolt-on car with Ported Thumper Heads !

Yep, those were some of yours. Awsome heads I forgot about the markings untill you mentioned it. Ill be getting some of your heads when I get my car here from Texas. I sold the other car I had. It had your heads B-303 cam longtube mac headers performer rpm intake 650 double pumper complete off road exhaust. The biggest problem was getting the car to hook. spin through third. Cool though. with 3.73 gears.

Vert 3750 # race weight with me and my junk. Mid 15's before and 13.93 after.( Im not a great driver either I had a 1.98 60ft ) Im still tuning and making changes. That was with Tmoss lower stock upper and a comp cam nx264hr !!
The fact is I pulled off 1.19 sec off my et and gained 9 mph by bolting on those parts. I just added a cobra intake and elec fan and sub connectors.I need a new clutch and Ill be running it again this spring.

Up for sale is a set of thumper heads with approx. 9-10000 miles on them. they come upgraded with the dual vassco springs rated for .590 lift. These heads alone gave me .7 tenths in the 1/4 and 5 mph. If you want any additional info on these awesome heads for the $$$ go to www.thumperoforangepark

I run Thumper Stg2s and a Tmoss Ported Explorer...They work..plain and simple...its cheap money and i like that..plus i like running Ford parts...i could have gone the other way, no problem...I just like the idea of banging 12s on ported stock parts...
The way i see it...i got a mild cam, the heads, and decent breathing mods...i got almost 300FWHP...not to shabby far as im concerned...thats about adding 80 HP over stock...thats a nice, noticable hit...

You were right, the B cam, advanced 2 degrees on 1.7 RR's was the way to go. 1st of all the idol is mean, sounds much meaner than even bigger cams. I'm kind of getting sick of people always asking me "what's in that thing". 2nd of all low end tq is also good. Mine is a daily driver, can't afford too much bottom end loss. True, it's choppy under 1800rpm, but once after 2500rpm it's alive. I can do 2nd gear starts even on slight inclines w/o having to revv the engine more than normal. 3rd of all, top end, wow. Goes from 75 to 115 faster than most cars can go from 0 to 40.

"unique" combo in and dyno'd
Well, it's a unique combo because my plan has had to change a few times due to things breaking. It's everything off of my old 302 swapped onto a shortblock.

The main parts of the setup are:

D.S.S. 331 stroker shortblock
"thumper" ported E-7 heads
Edelbrock performer RPM intake
Steeda #19 cam
24# injectors
190lph fuel pump
unequal length shorties
off-road H pipe
Flowmaster cat-back
dyno-tuned superchip from La'Roccas

The combo made 296.8 rwhp and 344 rwtq *******
( over 348 FWHP w/15% power train loss )

12.80@106mph--motor
11.88@119mph--w/100 shot

** NEW COMBO **
347 Stroker, Thumper Heads, Keith Kraft custom grind cam, Vic. Jr. Intake with BG 750 speed demon, 2 speed PG with TCI group 6 stall, 3.73s.
11.83 N/A 115 mph

I run 12.80 @ 106 with 1.77 60fts on drag radials. My local track is @ 3000 feet in the desert. Corrected for elevation, I'm some where in the 12.30's. My car is less than 3000lbs and has an electric fan, manual steering, K Member....4.10's and even more suspension junk. I run Thumpers with an e cam, 65 mm tb, 73mm mass air, and cobra intake. I think that with more tuning and a real slick I can drop another tenth or two. Simple combo, light weight, and matched parts all make for a pretty stout street car. I can drive anywhere as long as its not hot- no ac.
