I put a new clutch in my car a few weeks ago and am getting a ticking from the tranny. It goes away when i push the clutch in. The clutch, quadrant, cable and everything are all stock. It sounds similar to an exhaust leak. Thats what i thought it was at first. Anyone know what it is?

adjust your clutch cable a little bit if you have an adjustable cable or if you have the stock set up you can pull up on the clutch pedal by hand and let it self adjust - sounds like the throw out bearing does not have any or enough pre-load - mine has ticked, squeeked, chirped, etc... on several cars - hopefully this will do it - free fix

I tried pulling the pedal and it hasnt helped. the sound goes away if i push the pedal about half way. Ill get a firewall adjuster as soon as i can and try that. Also the sound has been getting louder, tomorrow i will take a quick video of it and see if that helps anyone help me figure out what it is.
