Have a 06 mustang installed BBK shorty header and bbk Xipipe with cats. Sound fine for about first 50 miles, and after that heard ticking noise. I am getting a ticking sound on the drivers side. Took it to ford they told me it was header number 6 cylinder where they where getting the most sound. As I increase RPM's ticks faster, the sound never gets softer as it warms up stay's the same from start. The exhaust guy said that new mustangs are know for the bolt's backing out is that true? I just was wondering if changing the blots to locking bolts may solve problem. Also is there a way to check if leaking or if gasket is bad.
Thanks
Frank

If its already ticking, your likely going to have to change the whole gasket.

Use OEM ford gaskets not the crap ones u get when you buy headers. pushrod motors are much more notorious for bolts backing out. If you used anti seize on your threads when u put them back in, then they should of held just fine. I'd just bet u blew the gasket out.
