Ticking noise??

Just the other day my car started to make a loud tick from the right side of my car. You can here it through the intake rather loud and out the #1 exhaust port as well as through the exhaust on the right side.. Anyone ran into this before?? It is only when the car is at operating temp. and when it is at at least 1400 rpm and up..??

Sounds like an exhaust leak to me. Re-torque your header bolts to make sure they didn't back out, but you might have a blown header gasket. Same thing happened to me.

are the header gaskets a PITA to change? so basicly if i change the header gaskets might as well change the headers too?

It just depends what headers you have. Changing gaskets on LT's isn't the funnest, but it's not the hardest and shorties are not that bad at all. It just depends on what you consider a PITA.

If you want to upgrade, now would be a good time to do it... If that is what you are asking?
