hey guys I had my hood open tonight with the car running and i heard a slight ticking. I put my head right over the intake manifold and it was quite noticeable. Is this common and ive never noticed it or is something wrong? BTW is a 97 GT with 90 thousand on the clock.
Could be the right side gasket where the h pipe bolts to the manifold. I've had one go bad and it freaked me out. I pulled it apart and found the gasket had a crack in it. The new one made it nice and quiet.
90K though....hopefully it's not a timing chain or lifters.
