Ididit I think makes the best. I installed on in a 68 and had issues with it but when I contacted them about it they were more than helpful about fixing my problem. They rate 5 stars with me.

Did you have to buy a different part besides the column itself?

I guess the part that im concerned about is this

"*Requires a 3/4”-DD x 3/4”-36 spline coupler to attach to the steering box (HW2916).
*The long shaft from the 1965-1966 steering box must be modified and shortened"
from previous link

this part?

Yes. Most of the Iditit's are wired to a Chevy plug and you need to adapt. Also, you'll need to remove your steering box, cut down the input shaft (which runs all the way up to the steering wheel) and weld on an adapter to connect to the new column.
