time for a fuel pressure regulator???

i'm about to install a catted x-pipe and shorty headers to my car this week (it already has the cat-back), so i was wondering if i should invest in a fuel pressure regulator and crank up my fuel pressure so the car won't run lean with the new exhaust??? i read an article in car craft about headers and exhaust causing lean conditions - which i obviously don't want...so i was wondering what you all thought? is it a good idea? or should i wait for more mods before i bother with it???

~thanks everyone.

btw, if anyone was at the NMRA nationals at Joliet, IL this weekend, let me know...i probably saw ya there!

you could get one but you won't really need it. I have a Aeromotive Fuel Pressure Regulator and it works great. Some people have problems with them. If you get one get a kirban. They are cheaper and better.
