TIME FOR A NEW CLUTCH......

Hey Guys....

I own a 2001 Cobra and as you all know, the TB is alway 1st to go. So I am taking it to the dealer this weekend to have it replaced. While the have the tranny out I was thinking about installing a new clutch.

Question is, do i replace it with a stock one or do I go after market? And if I go aftermarket, what is a rebliable brand? I drive the car for pleasure, but always have that need for speed.... :-)

If you want it to feel and act OEM...go stock. It's an 11" clutch, so it can handle a lot of power. A lot of aftermarket one's tend to "chatter". So if you are just cruising on the street and intend no high rpm launches, go stock. :nice:

when i put in my Vspec T-56 i was going to get a SPEC stage 2 put in but i had the wrong size, so i just had a king cobra put in and with the DR's i bark the living crap outta 3rd. i even got some reduced pedal effort.

How's the Center Force clutch? I know I like to cruise but I am doing work to the motor....so far i am pushing close to 310 at the wheels and I'm looking for more....

is the chattering loud?

Don't put a stock clutch back in it, mine blew apart shifting into 3rd on the street(not power shifting). I have a Spec Stage II and it's less pedal effort than stock and hold up to my rev limiter launches at the drag strip.
